- Complete Wheel: (tube, tire, rim) with 250-watt 24-volt brushless planetary hub motor (motor is sealed, rain and mud-proof). Motor wheel assists you up to 15mph when you engage the Grip Switch. Makes you feel three times stronger.
- Battery: 20-mile 10Ah 4.5lb or 40-mile Made-In-USA 20Ah 6lb Lithium battery/controller pack (8x3x5”), or a 10-mile 11-lb 8Ah battery/controller pack (6x6x4.5”) pre-installed in a rain and mud-proof quick-attach seat bag (choose in drop-down menu). Our new 40-mile pack is hand built here in the USA by highly-trained electric vehicle technicians and includes cutting-edge heat management technology for increased battery life and safety.

Wow, that is a cool video you have on youtube and on your website. I think it will take me more than three and a half minutes to install it but never the less I have not come across any other kit that is as simple and affordable as yours appears to be.

Is there a way to pull a trailer with this? I do more local biking than I have in the past and I’ve been researching kits like this to help with my local rides and errands. I think this would be cool because you can have the assist on your front fork with or without cargo in a trailer, and the kit would not interfere with the trailer like a rear-wheel kit would, and the weight would also be more distributed.

I have the hilltopper kit with the lithium battery. It works great. I live in Seattle, home to many hills and use this on my daily commute to Downtown (literally as I live on top of a hill). I usually get up to around 15-17 mph on the flat parts of my commute with just the motor humming and a little bit of pedaling. This is perfect for getting to a destination not totally covered in sweat. Great product and more affordable than other kits!

I love my hilltopper!! I was goin to build a moped… Alot of work, embarrassing to ride, and you have to register them!? Nah. Started lookin at ebikes. Either too spendy, or too much sweat and brain power to assemble. And in my research, I stumbled onto the youtube video for clean republic. You guys nailed it!! Just needed fun alternative way to commute. You hooked it up, good job!!

After significant research I bought the Hilltopper in June and have used it as my only source of daily commute (go to work between 3-4 am). Have had zero problems, lots of comments and even more questions. Recommend? Yeah, what’s not to love. Assembly took me about 10 minutes – oh, and my daughter (a teen with her own car) refers to my bike as a “sweet ride”.
